This Recommendation supplements the basic requirements for rotating machines which are given in IEC Publication 34.1: Rotating Electrical Machines, Part 1, Rating and performance, and is applicable to three-phase, 50HZ, 1500 rev/min and 3000 rev/min turbine-type machines, having rated outputs of 10 MW to 63 MW (air cooled)and 25 MW and above (hydrogen or liquid cooled)
This Recommendation does not apply to machines for traction vehicles, marine service and air transport
