This recommendation supplements the basic requirements for rotating machines which are given in IEC Publication 34-1 Recommendations for rotating electrical machinery, and is applicable to 1500 rev/min and 3000 rev/min turbine-type generations having ratings of 10 MWto 50 MW (air cooled) and 25 MW to 400 MW (hydrogen cooled)
An appendix deals with the determination of nominal exciter response.
