scope:
Specifies methods for the determination of the presence of colourless (practically invisible) chromate conversion coatings, the presence and quantity of hexavalent chromium in colourless and coloured coatings, the total chromium content per unit area, and the satisfactory adhesion of coloured coatings. Apply only to chromate conversion coatings which are free from any supplementary coating (oil, wax, etc.).
