scope:
Describes the commonly used types of paint and paint system and provides guidance for the selection of paint systems available for the environments in which they will be used. It also gives information on the expected durability of paint systems in terms of low, medium and high. A classification of the principal environments to which painted steel structures are exposed and the corrosivity of these environments are given in ISO 12944-2.
