This Defence Standard 02-157 Part 2 covers the general requirements for laying various deck covering materials in the appropriate compartments and areas on HM Surface Ships and Submarines on steel, aluminium or Glass Reinforced Plastic (GRP) surfaces.
It is to be read in conjunction with Def Stan 02-157 Part 1, General Requirements.
These requirements do not apply to hydrofoils or hovercraft.
