Preface

This is the common UL and CSA Standard for Marine Shipboard Cable. It is the first edition of CSA Standard C22.2 No. 245, and the first edition of UL 1309.

This common Standard was prepared by the Canadian Standards Association and Underwriters Laboratories Inc.

This Standard was reviewed by the Technical Committee on Wiring Products under the jurisdiction of the Steering Committee on the Canadian Electrical Code, Part II and was approved by these Committees. It is intended to meet the electrical regulations of the Canadian Coast Guard and U.S. Coast Guard.

UL Effective Date

These new and revised requirements are now in effect.

CSA Effective
