scope:
Purpose. To establish policy concerning the joint training of US personnel assigned to NATO commands and the NATO Defense College. Title 10 United States Code (USC) section 153 (a) states that CJCS is responsible for formulating policies for the joint training of the Armed Forces of the United States and for formulating policies for coordinating the military education and training of members of the Armed Forces of the United States.
Applicability. This instruction applies to the Joint Staff, Services, National Defense University (NDU), NATO commands, the NATO Defense College, and the USEUCOM NATO Manning Division (NMD).
