scope:

This Standard applies to those who undertake activities that are deemed by the LU SQE Systems and Assurance Manager to be 'Safety Critical', as defined by the Railways (Safety Critical Work) Regulations 1994.

Those in scope are employees of the London Underground and, when working on the London Underground infrastructure, their suppliers. 

Where a Framework Agreement (or similar) exists that is more stringent than the requirements of this standard, the terms of the Framework Agreement shall be complied with.

Purpose

The purpose of this Standard is to complement the Category 1 Standard on Competence Assurance and ensure that the requirements of the Railways (Safety Critical Work) Regulations 1994 and its Approved Code of Practice are met.
