scope:

This standard applies to London Underground (LU) employees and their suppliers who undertake activities that are decided by the Head of Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) LU to be 'Safety Critical', as defined by the Railways and Other Guided Transport Systems (Safety) Regulations 2006.

Where a framework agreement (or similar) exists that is more stringent than the requirements of this standard, the terms of the framework agreement shall be complied with.

Purpose

The purpose of this standard is to ensure that the requirements of the Railway and Other Guided Transport Systems (Safety) Regulations 2006 (as amended) and Office of Rail and Road's (ORR's) Railway Safety Publication 4 (Safety Critical Tasks - Clarification of ROGS Regulations Requirements) are met.
