This part of IEC 79 prescribes the specific requirements for construction and testing of electrical apparatus, parts of electrical apparatus and Ex components which have rated voltages not exceeding 11 kV with the type of protection encapsulation "m".

These specific requirements supplement IEC 79-0 "General Requirements" with the following exceptions.
