scope:

This standard specifies minimum structural design criteria, performance, and renovation requirements for cemetery monuments and crematoria memorial gardens above and below the natural ground surface. It does not preclude artistic endeavour.

The standard covers all new, additional, renovation, and restoration work, including installation requirements at public and private cemeteries as well as any other such place where a monument or memorial is erected. All monuments shall be constructed in line with cemetery authority requirements.
