scope:
This Japanese Industrial Standard specifies requirements for welded steel pipe piles (hereafter referred to as piles) used for foundation of structures mainly in the fields of civil engineering and architecture. The piles for land slide prevention are within the scope of this Standard.
The quality requirements for ribbed blank pipe that can be applied upon agreement between the purchaser and the manufacturer are given in Annex A.
NOTE 1 Steel pipes for landslide prevention are also specified in JIS G 3444 and JIS G 5201.
NOTE 2 This Standard is mainly applicable to piles with an outside diameter of 318.5 mm to 2 000 mm.
