scope:

This standard specifies the requirements and test methods for mechanical fittings intended to join PE pipes of outside diameters ≤ 110 mm for piping systems at operating temperature ≤ 40 °C, where the operating pressure of the fittings corresponds at least to the allowable operating pressure (PFA) of the piping system components (e.g. 6 bar, 10 bar or 16 bar).

Attention is brought to the fact that there are national and European product standards and application standards which apply to specific applications; these are to be complied with where relevant. Several of these national and European product standards are listed in the bibliography for the information of users of this standard. Please note that because these standards are continually being revised, this list is not exhaustive.
