scope:

This Standard gives the design guidelines for a holding part of stick holder intended for the temporary accommodation of a stick that assists the walk of older persons and persons with disabilities. This Standard covers the holding parts having a holding function attained by an elastic deformation; however, does not cover the following holding parts.

a) Stick holder attached to a stick itself, intended for the easy rest of stick

b) Stick holder having a function to install a stick on a rollator or wheelchair, intended for the assist of movement of older persons and persons with disabilities

NOTE This Standard covers the sticks having the diameter of about 16 mm to 25 mm at the thickest part, and assumes that the main purpose of sticks is the assist of walk.
