The modules in this standard specify the actions to be implemented in the event of an incident which requires Network Rail to implement a formal Strategic, Tactical and Operational command structure on Routes, Regions, within functions or nationally.

Where additional or separate arrangements apply to a specific location, details are provided within site specific plans.

Table 1 lists the modules of this manual.

Purpose

This document provides an index of the National Emergency Plan modules which manage the risk associated with incidents and emergencies on or impacting the railway network.

NOTE: Risk mitigations are contained in the individual modules.
