| Organization: | IEEE |
| Publication Date: | 1 August 2020 |
| Status: | pending |
| Page Count: | 15 |
scope:
The scope of this project is to establish test and documentary requirements for conducting conformance tests on instrument transformers, primary system voltages from 600 volts to 38 kV.
Purpose
The purpose of this standard is to cover conformance test requirements for current and inductively coupled voltage transformers used for measurements and control functions on 60 Hz primary systems with voltages from 600 V through 38 kV.
This standard does not specifically cover the following:
a) Installation in ships, watercraft, railway rolling stock, aircraft, or automotive vehicle.
b) Installations underground in mines
c) Installations of railways for generation, transformation, transmission, or distribution of power used exclusively for operation of rolling stock, or installations used exclusively for signaling and communication purposes
d) Installations of communication equipment under the exclusive control of communication utilities, located outdoors or in building spaces used exclusively for such installations.
