This Japanese Industrial Standard specifies the performance requirements and test methods for single-use respiratory protective devices for infection control at medical use (hereafter referred to as medical-use facepiece respirators for infection control) composed of an integrated unit of a particle filter and a facepiece, and a head strap but not an exhalation valve, among facepiece respirators that are used by medical workers in medical facilities when they operate on, treat or approach patients who are or may be affected with an infectious disease.
