This Japanese Industrial Standard specifies the method of tests for the lap seam welded joints of metallic materials (extra-low carbon steels, low carbon steels, stainless steels, aluminium and aluminium alloys, and titanium and titanium alloys) of 0.3 mm to 3.2 mm in plate thickness. This Standard covers the appearance test, leak test, mechanized peel test, chisel test, section test and nondestructive testing. The steel products herein include the coated steel plates.
