Purpose
This Module is part of the suite of documents contained within the Signalling Works Testing Handbook, NR/L2/SIG/30014 , which together detail the requirements for signalling works testing activities.
This Module specifies the requirements for all Test Specifications and Test Certificates, Checklists and Test Records forms used for Signal Works Testing on Network Rail's infrastructure.
The actual equipment or testing type specific Test Specifications and Test Certificates are issued as sections of NR/L2/SIG/30014/D120
This Module details how Test Specifications and Test Certificates, Checklists and Test Records forms are used, in association with the Test Plan, to define the mandatory tests and procedures necessary to test new or altered signalling equipment with sufficient depth that, when implemented in conjunction with the other parts of the Signalling Works Testing Handbook, safe working is confirmed when signed into service.
