This specification should be used by all those when engaged in the overhaul of Point Valves. This specification is written to comply with engineering standard S1202 'Signal Equipment Overhaul' in defining the requirements for the overhaul of all variants of Point Valves.
Purpose
This specification details the overhaul requirements for Point Auxiliary Valves which are used in the signalling system on the London Underground (LU). These items are more commonly referred to as Point Valves, a term which will be used throughout this document.
