This Specification applies to the movement of steam locomotives whether in full or light steam over Railtrack controlled infrastructure.
Purpose
This Specification is designed to enable Railtrack Zones to identify the risks arising from steam operation on Railtrack controlled infrastructure and to ensure that the Train Operator has adequate controls in place to reduce those risks identified to as low as reasonably practicable.
