This specification covers hydraulic filter elements for the Aviation Ground Power Unit (AGPU). This specification describes:

(1) A multi-pass filtration performance test under cyclic flow and vibration conditions with continuous contaminant injection for hydraulic fluid power filter elements;

(2) A procedure for determining the contaminant capacity, particulate removal and differential pressure characteristics; and

(3) Specific changes, revisions, and modifications to paragraphs of Military Specification MIL-F-8815D.

intended Use:

This slash sheet is to be used in conjunction with MIL-F-8815 to procure noncleanable, fluid pressure, hydraulic filter elements for the Army AGPU.
