scope:
This document defines the use cases and general requirements to support convenient incident notification services via P-ITS-S. The purposes of these services are: (1) to reduce manual efforts performed by insurance officers and police, (2) to improve vehicle incident dealing time, and (3) to eventually reduce traffic congestion.
This document covers services for a driver when incident occurs. In case that an accident detection system fails to detect, this document covers a manual service to call an incident notification for harmed road users.
Generally, when an incident occurs, the driver calls an insurance company or police officer to notify them of the vehicle incident. They then visit the site to analyze how the vehicle incident transpired. A towing vehicle is called, and the cleaners clean up the debris from the incident site. This document proposes services for facilitating this process.
