Purpose/Material Description.
Polyurethane (PU) foam composed of chunked, ground, shredded or chipped foam that has been rebonded with binder, such as a Methylene Diphenyl di-Isocyanate prepolymer.
Also known as Rebond Foam or Chip Foam.

Applicability.
Foam for reinforcement component (e.g., molded-in-foam seat side panel), carpet underlayment, etc.
Remarks.
Types.
Type 0. This type has a low-density of ≥ 48 kg/m³ and ≤ 90 kg/m³ (3.0 pcf to 5.6 pcf).
Type 1. This type has a density of > 90 kg/m³ and ≤ 120 kg/m³ (5.6 pcf to 7.6 pcf).
Type 2. This type has a higher density of > 120 kg/m³ and < 160 kg/m³ (7.6 pcf to 10 pcf).
Type 3. This type has an ultra-high density of ≥ 160 kg/m³ (> 10 pcf).
