Scope and Applicability.

This instruction applies to all Navy weapon systems and items of military equipment, military equipment that requires depot-level maintenance, as defined by reference (c), section 2460. It provides the methods and processes to be utilized to assign or reassign the Depot Source of Repair (DSOR) for weapon systems and for implementing the DSOR assignments. It also provides the methods for developing, negotiating, managing, executing and terminating Depot Maintenance Inter-Service Support Agreements (DMISA).

Purpose.

This instruction establishes policy and provides procedures for Navy implementation of references (a) and (b) as detailed in enclosure (1) through enclosure (3). References (a) through (f) provide further guidance.
