This standard covers that part of the Network Rail Supplier Assurance Framework associated with Network Rail supplier licensing.
Licensing applies only to Principal Contractors and Rail Plant Operating Companies in Possessions working on Network Rail Managed Infrastructure.
Purpose
The purpose of this document is to:
a) specify the arrangements for the licensing of Principal Contractors and Rail Plant Operating Companies in Possessions;
b) describe the means by which Network Rail obtain assurance that all reasonably practicable steps have been taken to appoint such specifically competent and adequately resourced suppliers.
