scope:

This Network Rail standard specifies the requirements for the design and manufacture of switch and crossing units and (S&C) assemblies. It also specifies those components to be used in the manufacturing process and methods of application.

This standard applies to the manufacture and despatch of new S&C for use in Network Rail controlled infrastructure. It also applies to trial assemblies where these are required by the purchaser.
