This document is applicable to appropriate projects delivered by the Major Projects and Investment directorate of Network Rail. The scope does not cover the production of standard designs or the product acceptance process.
The matrices within this document apply to all Programmes within MP&I except Enhancements. Due to the nature of MP&I Enhancement work it is not possible to develop a consistent application of the CDM Regulations, each project is therefore required to be assessed on it's own needs.
Purpose
The following specifies to the Accountabilities and Responsibilities for delivery of all MP&I projects applicable to the Construction (Design & Management) Regulations in the Railway Environment.
