scope:
This Standard specifies the steel strips mainly used for the flat springs and coiled springs (hereafter referred to as "strips"). Also, this Standard applies to the cut-lengths that are cut from the strips.
NOTE: The International Standard corresponding to this Standard and the symbol of degree of correspondence are as follows:
ISO 4960: 2007 Cold-reduced carbon steel strip with a mass fraction of carbon over 0.25 % (MOD)
The symbols which denote the degree of correspondence in the contents between the relevant International Standard and JIS are IDT (identical), MOD (modified), and NEQ (not equivalent) according to ISO/lEC Guide 21-1.
