„Non vital relays‟ shall include sealed relay units, relay based storage units for program machines and train describer systems. This standard does not apply to "vital type" relays used in non vital applications.
Workshop overhaul is not covered by this standard.
The primary user of this standard shall be the Asset Steward.
This standard supersedes E7156A3, which is withdrawn.
Purpose
The purpose of this standard is to define the minimum maintenance requirements for non-vital relays used in LU signalling and signal control systems.
