This Practice describes the requirements for design, construction, and testing for IEEE 841 or severe duty motors. The motors are premium-efficiency, totally enclosed, fan-cooled (TEFC) or non-ventilated (TENV), single-speed, horizontal or vertical, polyphase squirrel cage induction motors that are 4000 volts and below.
