scope:
This method is to determine alkylphenol ethoxylate (nonyphenol ethoxylate and octylphenol ethoxylate) in leather. This direct method is a suitable method where a larger number of leather samples are to be checked for the presence of alkylphenol ethoxylates. This method requires the use of HPLC with triple quadrupole mass spectrometer to identify the alkylphenol ethoxylate. Annex A of this standard is for information only.
