scope:
The following additional requirements apply to "gG" fuses for use by unskilled persons for domestic and similar applications with rated currents up to and including 100 A and rated voltages of up to and including 500 V a.c. and 500 V d.c.
The following characteristics of the fuses are specified in addition to IEC 60269-1:
• rated voltage;
• rated power dissipation of the fuse-link and rated acceptable power dissipation of a fuseholder;
• time-current characteristic;
• gates, I2t characteristics and conventional times and currents;
• rated breaking capacity;
• marking on the fuse;
• standard conditions for construction;
• tests.
