scope:
This standard deals with the installation and extraction of piles including sheet piles, beams, tubes, lances, etc. by impact driving, vibration driving and pressing.
This standard does not cover:
- the insertion of materials in cavities formed or remaining as a result of the installation or extraction of piles including sheet piles, beams, tubes, lances, etc.;
- the installation of reinforcement;
- the installation or extraction of depth vibrators;
- drilling operations (cf. DIN 18301);
- provision and maintaining the availability of piling elements that have been installed (cf. DIN 18303);
- trenchless pipelaying (cf. DIN 18319).
DIN 18299, clauses 1 to 5 shall also apply. In cases where the specifications of DIN 18299 contradict the present standard, the latter shall take precedence.
