scope:
This standard deals with the installation and extraction of piles including sheet piles, beams, tubes, lances, etc. by impact driving, vibration driving and pressing.
This standard does not cover
- the insertion of materials in cavities formed or remaining as a result of the installation or extraction of piles including sheet piles, beams, tubes, lances, etc.,
- the installation of reinforcement,
- the installation or extraction of depth vibrators,
- drilling operations (see DIN 18301),
- provision and maintaining the availability of piling elements that have been installed (see DIN 18303),
- trenchless pipelaying (see DIN 18319).
DIN 18299, clauses 1 to 5 shall also apply. In cases where the specifications of DIN 18299 contradict the present standard, DIN 18304 shall take precedence.
