Diese Norm gilt für den Erd- und Grundbau. Sie legt die Prüfverfahren für Stützflüssigkeiten (vorzugsweise Bentonite), die zum Bau von Schlitzwänden nach DIN EN 1538 oder unverrohrt gebohrten Bohrpfählen nach DIN EN 1536 eingesetzt werden, fest. Die Ergebnisse der Prüfverfahren werden für den Nachweis der Standsicherheit, z. B. von Schlitzwänden nach DIN 4126 und für die Ausführung von Schlitzwänden nach DIN EN 1538, benötigt.
