The standards set forth herein apply to the second edition of the Standard for Vented Gas Fireplaces, ANSI 221 SO-1 998 CSA 2.22-M98, and Addenda Z21.50a-1999 . CSA 2.22a-M99, and supersede corresponding standards therein. Following their preparation by the supervising subcommittee, they were accepted by ANSI, the Interprovincial Gas Advisory Council, and subsequently approved.
