scope:
This appendix specifies the manner of preparing Special Packaging Instructions (SPIS). SPIs shall be prepared when the following conditions exist:
a. When the preservation and packing data area of the figure 1 format does not contain all necessary packaging requirements.
b. when all necessary packaging requirements to allow complete fabrication and assembly of the pack cannot be contained in one line of supplemental data.
