scope:
Purpose. This standard provides criteria for control and development of requirements for packaging DOD material based on physical - chemical characteristics, fragility, dimensions and weight. This standard also supplements MIL-STD-1367 by providing packaging details, formulas, and other pertinent information for developing packaging bills of material and other logistic data by manual procedures or electronic data processing equipment.
