scope:
This specification covers single conductor copper wire with a silicone primary insulation capable of continuous operation at a maximum conductor temperature of 200° C (392° F). These wires are suitable for use in aircraft and missiles using any combination of electrical loading and ambient temperature, provided the maximum conductor temperature is not exceeded. The wires covered by this specification are not intended as fire-resistant wires.
Single conductor insulated wire shall be as specified in the applicable MS standard (see 6.2).
