PURPOSE

This Marshall Procedural Requirements (MPR) document describes the Marshall Space Flight Center (MSFC) Environmental Management System (EMS) and shall be used in conjunction with NASA Procedural Requirements (NPR) 8553.1, "NASA Environmental Management System." This MPR establishes general EMS procedures and requirements that describe the framework and process for planning, implementing, and assessing the MSFC EMS.

APPLICABILITY

This MPR applies to all MSFC personnel, Government and contractor (to the extent specified or referenced in the appropriate contracts, grants, or agreements), throughout the Center. The scope of the MSFC EMS consists of management defined activities, products, and services applicable to the EMS, over which MSFC has control and/or influence. These activities, products, and services are defined in MPR 8500.1, "MSFC Environmental Management Program."
