a. This Standard relates to the requirements For phenolic mouldings, made by the compression or transfer processes for Servioe applioations speoifically as indicated in clauses 1.b. and 1.c.

b. The designation "Type QX" indioates that mouldings are of a quality which is suitable for certain applications where a high degree of compatibility with explosives is also a requirement. However, oompatibility with all explosives in all environments has not been established and Design ,Authorities should, therefDre, seek advioe from the Direotor, Explosives ResearDh and Development Establishment, on particular applications.,

c. The risk of metallio oorrosion, arising from proximity to phenolic mouldings, will be minimized by the use of this quality of moulding.
