scope:
The standard contains rules for approval testing of welders. The approval testing is based on practical tests and theoretical examinations. The purpose of the standard is to give documentation of the welders' skill and jobknowledge. The results of the testing and examination are described in a certificate. The standard specifies two types of approval testing being used at workshops and welding schools. The standard gives references to EN 287-1 and -2 for the technical rules for approval testing of welders in steel and aluminium.
