1. SCOPE
The material defined by this specification is a rubber modified, 16 % glass fiber reinforced, styrene maleic anhydride copolymer thermoplastic molding compound. The glass fibers are coated with a non-PVA (polyvinyl acetate) binding agent which can withstand mold temperatures of 315 °C, without producing mold corroding by-products. This material may contain 0 -40 % manufactured reclaim or regrind or any combination of reclaim or regrind which totals up to a max of 40 % of the molding compound by weight (see para 5.6 for definitions of regrind and reclaim).
