This standard covers the requirements for electrical metallic tubing (steel) for use as a raceway for the wires or cables of an electrical system. The tubing is furnished in nominal 10-ft (3.05-m) lengths with plain ends, protected on the exterior surface with a metallic zinc coating and on the interior surface with zinc, enamel, or equivalent corrosion-resistant coating.
This standard also covers elbows and bends for electrical metallic tubing.
