This specification establishes the Webbing requirements for 3 - point safety belt assemblies used in future GM vehicles. It defines key physical and functional requirements that are intended to drive commonality across GM vehicles worldwide and interchangeability between suppliers' systems worldwide. The common functions, performance, reliability and validation required of the webbing component are defined in this document.
This specification does not apply to safety belt webbing used as buckle straps, guideloop straps, or in 2 - point safety belt assemblies.
