Deals with insulated wires used for windings of electrical equipment. This recommendation is composed by basic dimensions, methods of test, specifica- tions for particular types of wires and packaging. It recommends require- ments for a well-defined range of wires. Specifies the general requirements of enamelled round copper aluminium wires with or without bonding layer. This publication supersedes IEC 182-1:1984 and IEC 182-2:1987.
