This document specifies the installation requirements for the types of precision instrument, rotating, servocomponent, contained in NATO supply Class 61, as used by all Department of the Ministry of Defence.

To obtain the optimum performance from servocomponents it is essential that they are installed, mounted, and used in the correct manner, and to ensure this, some items of hardware are available that have been designed specially for this purpose. The manner in which they are used and the different mounting methods from the basis of this document.

This document does not necessarily embrace all the installation requirement appropriate to every possible military application of servocomponents. It is, accordingly, and in all cases, the responsibility of the user to ensure that the recommendation given in this document are adequate for his intended application
