This Standard relates to an emulsifiable blend of cresylic acid and ortho-dichlorobenzene suitable for use in the removal of organic contaminants and organic protective films, and for assisting in the removal of hard carbonaceous deposits from metal surfaces. The cresylic acid and ortho-dichlorobenzene mixture is suitable for use in a bath with a 50 mm water seal, and may be heated t o a working temperature not exceeding 90°C.
