This Standard relates to an emulsifiable blend of cresylic acid and ortho-dichlorobenzene suitable for use in the removal of organic contaminants and organic protective films, and for assisting in the removal of hard carbonaceous deposits from metal surfaces. The cresylic and acid and ortho-dichlorobenzene mixture is suitable for use in a bath with a 50 mm water seal at a temperature not exceeding 9OoC, as recommended by the manufacturer.
